Apply for Funding start making a difference.

If you have an idea or project that could make a real difference to patients, families, carers or NHS staff across Lanarkshire, we’d love to hear from you.

Applications to Lanarkshire Health Charity are considered throughout the year and are assessed against the charity’s aims and available funding.

Our application process is designed to help us understand your proposal and ensure charitable funds are used where they will have the greatest impact.

You’ll be asked to describe what you want to achieve, how much funding you are requesting, who will benefit and how your project supports the charity’s objectives.

We’ll also ask you to demonstrate that you’ve considered value for money, how the impact of the funding will be measured and how any potential risks will be managed.

As charitable funds are intended to enhance, rather than replace, NHS funding, applications should clearly explain why the project is needed and how it will improve patient care, staff wellbeing, innovation or help reduce health inequalities across Lanarkshire.

All applications require the support of the relevant NHS service and are reviewed through our governance process before a funding decision is made.

What We Fund

Lanarkshire Health Charity funds projects, equipment and initiatives that go beyond what the NHS can provide through statutory funding. Every grant we make is designed to improve the experience, health and wellbeing of patients, families and our NHS staff across Lanarkshire.

We support ideas that enhance patient care, create more welcoming healthcare environments, improve access to services, invest in innovative approaches and provide opportunities for staff learning and development. From specialist equipment and therapeutic activities to wellbeing projects, research and improvements to hospital and community spaces, our funding helps deliver the extras that can make a real difference when people need care the most.

We welcome applications from NHS Lanarkshire teams whose projects demonstrate clear benefits for patients, staff or local communities and align with the charity’s mission to help people live healthier, happier lives.

We encourage applicants to get in touch before submitting an application if they would like to discuss their proposal.

We’re always happy to provide guidance and help ensure your application has the best chance of success.

This is Lanarkshire, looking after Lanarkshire.
